Kim Parmer has been a resident of Waller since 1997 and has served as a Board Trustee since May, 2009 and was nominated to serve as Board Secretary in June 2016. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University in Social Work and a Master's degree from Prairie View A&M University in Human Science. She has a license in the State of Texas as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Licensed Practical Counselor Intern.
Kim has been married to her husband, Ted, since 1988 and is the mother of one current Waller ISD student and two Waller High School graduates.
Kim was a Board Member for the Waller Area Chamber of Commerce for 11 years from 1999 to 2010 and is a 21-year Girl Scout veteran. Kim has served on many boards that serve "at-risk" children and addictive homes. She has served on the Texas Association of School Board Benefits Cooperative since 2014 and is a Leadership TASB Master Trustee since 2011. She is presently employed as a Mental Health Therapist at the Sexual Assault Resource Center in Bryan, Texas, and a Contract Therapist at Focusing Families in Hempstead.
The Parmer's are active members of the Journey Church in Waller.
